Potrerillos, Cordillera de los Andes

We head West, through Nº 7 national road, along the Andes Pre Mountain Range. Driving towards Chile, through the Potrerillos valley, the road allows us magnificent views of the snowy peaks of "Cordon del Plata" and further on, the Potrerillos Lake.
Our trek will take us through a wet ravine, the "Quebrada del 55". Along the path we can learn about the local flora. You'll be able to taste and smell spices and herbs such as creosote and absinthe, thyme and wild rucula (rocket/arugula), or see the different kind of cactus, the relentless saw-grass, and the colourful wild rose hip.
Scents and colours will accompany us to the waterfall, which, during the summer, can be quite refreshing. There, we shall enjoy our picnic and for those who want to spice up their meal we set up ropes and rappel (abseil) a 65 ft. (20 m) wall next to the water fall.
