Riding at The Paso de la Carrera

This "estancia", situated in the middle of the cordillera at 6.000 feet above sea level, offers facinating landscapes sharing colorfull potatoe and cereal plantations with huge grass fields used to raise criollo horses crossed by shinny streams and surrounded by the magnific "Cordón del Plata". Old houses have been restored gaining all the confort but not loosing its antique spirit sharing it with their visitors.

Estimated duration of the horse ride: from 2 to 3 hours

Ride starting height: 6,000 feet above sea level (1,980 masl)

Maximum height: 6,500 fasl (2,150 masl)

Personal equipment required: comfortable pants, comfortable trekking or sport shoes with a good sole, t-shirt, turtle neck shirt, sweater or warm fleece top, jacket, warm stocking cap, cap or hat, sun glasses and UV sun-block cream

Lunch: barbecue

 

Technical difficulty

Low: doesn´t require previous knowledge nor special skills.

Physical condition

Sedentary: person with lack of training or walks gently one or two times a week.
